Board Votes To Lift Mask Mandate Updated

The Idaho Falls Board of Trustees voted today to retire D91’s COVID-19 Operational Plan and to rescind the mask mandate effective immediately in all school buildings and busses. While the district is lifting the mask mandate, students and staff who have not been immunized are encouraged to continue wearing masks when social distancing is not possible. The board took these actions in response to local conditions and new guidance from the CDC. And, with Idaho’s move to Stage 4, attendance limits have been lifted for all school events and special end-of-year activities. Click here to view D91's COVID Data.

Tips For Talking To Kids About Violence d91

We were saddened to learn of the shooting incident at Rigby Middle School this morning. Our thoughts are with the families, school staff and patrons of Jefferson County.  Talking to children about these kinds of incidents can be difficult so we wanted to provide some tips from the National Association of School Psychologists. Please be aware our counselors are available to provide additional support. If you feel like your child needs some assistance, please let their school know. Making sure our students and staff feel like they are in a welcoming and safe environment is a priority in Idaho Falls School District 91, and we’ll do everything we can to support our students, staff and families during this time. Please reach out if you need anything at all.
